When you shop at a bridal boutique, the dresses you try on are called sample gowns. These are the dresses brides use during appointments to see different styles, fabrics, silhouettes, and details before deciding which gown they want to order.
Rather than ordering a brand-new dress in your size, a sample sale allows you to purchase one of those dresses right off the rack!

Unlike a traditional bridal order, you're purchasing the actual dress you try on. There isn't another one being ordered in your size. If you find the one, it's yours to take home!
2. Dresses are sold as-is.
Sample gowns have been tried on during bridal appointments, so some may show minor signs of wear from being handled and loved. We'll be happy to point out any imperfections and walk you through the condition of each dress before you make your decision, so you know exactly what you're taking home.
3. Sizing is based on what's available.
Sample dresses come in a variety of sizes, but you won't find every style in every size. Being open to trying different silhouettes and having a little flexibility with sizing can make your shopping experience even more fun!
4. Alterations may still be needed.
Just like a traditionally ordered wedding dress, sample gowns may need alterations to achieve your perfect fit. Be sure to factor potential alterations into your overall dress budget.
